As you may be aware, heart attacks are widely prevalent and have been occurring in all age groups lately. According to statistics, 80% of cardiac arrests happen at home and performing CPR within the right time can triple the person’s chances of survival. In such unforeseen circumstances it is really beneficial if somebody is aware about correct CPR procedures.

During our emergency information sessions we cover the following topics in a duration of 1 hour 30 minutes:

  • CPR for Cardiac Arrest – Live demonstration of CPR and participant practice on CPR manikin
  • First Aid Injury – Management of blunt trauma (fracture) as well as penetrative trauma (blood loss)
  • Other emergency care – Fainting, choking and anaphylaxis reaction treatments

When is CPR needed?
CPR is needed to revive pulse when a patient or person is presented with no pulse
How effective is CPR?
CPR can double and triple the chance of survival. Even knowledge of symptoms to watchout for and type of information that is provided to emergency service teams can sometimes make a big difference.
What are the main steps of CPR?
  • Check the scene and the person
  • Call for assistance
  • Open the airway
  • Check for breathing
  • Begin chest compressions
  • Deliver rescue breaths
  • Continue CPR steps
Note: If the chest does not rise with the initial rescue breath, re-tilt the head before delivering the second breath. If the chest doesn't rise with the second breath, the person may be choking. After each subsequent set of 30 chest compressions, and before attempting breaths, look for an object and, if seen, remove it.
What are the differences between CPR for adults and children?
The number and intensity of chest compressions vary based on patient age. The techniques are most delicate in case of an infact.
What are the types of CPR training?
There are CPR training workshops available for professionals as well as certifications for interested volunteers. However, our training sessions is more elementry in nature and act as a primer so that swift action can be taken in cases of emergencies.
